Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) & Search Training

The course is designed as an introduction to the specialisation and the skills required for EOD & Search operations. The course aims and training objectives are outlined below. More specialised training would be required subsequently for participants to achieve competence and also the skills levels necessary to function operationally.

Additional courses are also available for senior management personnel in control of EOD assets; and in Quality Control Assessment & Re-Licensing, the latter being available at both operational & training levels.

Our course will cover an overview of the subjects from basic to advanced level, as follows:

Basic Level

For new and existing personnel trained as EOD Team members

Intermediate Level

For basic-level, qualified team members seeking to progress to EOD Team Leader status.

Advanced Level

For intermediate-qualified team leaders seeking to progress to EOD Operator status.

The course will require access to a secure, operational area for the purposes of practical exercises. It must be emphasised that the course is designed to serve as an introduction and overview of the function only. The nature of the skill itself and the depth and thoroughness of the training required, should therefore be ongoing, with follow-up specialised training programmes being offered to suitable candidates, as required, so that a skilled and effective local EOD & Search Team can be established.

Course Aims

The course would aim to:

  • Provide an Introduction to Explosive Ordnance Disposal
  • Provide an Introduction to Methodology
  • Provide Practical Exposure to Realistic Scenarios
  • Provide Practical Exposure to Search Techniques
